Faith Formation

Baptism Preparation includes a session for parents and godparents of children being baptized in their role as primary educators.   Parish volunteers for this ministry attend the session to share their faith, assist with the paperwork and preparation for the christening.  Baptisms (English) are celebrated on the first and third Sundays of the month; preparation sessions take place on the last Wednesday of the month for about 1 ½ hours starting at 7 PM.

Ministry to and by the Homebound provides Eucharistic visits to the sick and to those with “special” needs that are unable to attend Mass.  Other visits may include phone chats, sharing Church bulletins, looking in on our parish neighbors to create a network assuring them that they are not alone.  In turn, Homebound Parishioners are invited to join  a “Circle of Prayer” and offer prayers at home for the special intentions requested.

Travel time for Eucharistic Ministers: 15- 20 minutes

Length of visitation:  ½ hour – 1 hour or the few moments of a phone call

“Circle of Prayer”: flexible time at home.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROCESS

All are welcome.  We continue the message of Jesus and the teachings of the Church by supporting families in their faith development.  Together we pray, educate and give service.  Weekly classes are held for young disciples, Grades First through High School and Sacrament Preparation.  All are encouraged to participate in FAMILY MASS on the first Sunday of the month at 11:00 AM.  There is a wonderful opportunity to share your gifts and goodness as a Catechist, Office Helper, Greeter and Hospitality Volunteer.  Please join us as we prepare the Church of the Future.
