Restoration Progress November 2006 - 2007

Our Capital Campaign reached a pledge total of $1.2 million through the generosity of parishioners and friends. In November '06 the cross and bell were removed from the church steeple heralding the large renovation project. When architectural plans were approved, major work began in July and continues on church, chapel and parish center this Thanksgiving time! Let us give thanks for all our blessings!

Emmaus Faith Camp    July 16 - 27, 2007

Forty-six students participated this summer in a two week intensive course for sacrament preparation.  The program initiated by DRE, Maggie Martin and assisted by volunteer catechists, included daily Mass, presentation theme for the day, class study, crafts, and time for outdoor breaks and snacks.

Marian Mass and May Crowning    May 14, 2007

St. John of God Parish Honors Our Lady

Christian Mothers lead our procession after Marian Mass for the Rosary and May Crowning on May 14^th. Thanks to the parishioners who set up our five stations where each decade was alternately recited in English and Spanish. Thanks to all who came to Mass and the annual  candlelight procession.  It felt like our own "Lourdes."
