Knights
of Columbus The
Rev. James V. Rogan / Father John P. Halpin Council #1816 is a Catholic
men’s fraternal organization supporting the needs of St. John of God
Parish and the local community. The council supports youth and young adult
programs during the year. We also provide
scholarship awards. We assist many groups with assistance
throughout the year. We assist those who need assistance through the
Parish Outreach program, food collections, blood drives, and other
community events. During the Thanksgiving season we sponsor a Thanksgiving
Day dinner for anyone within the community. We open our doors to all
faiths; this is a day to be family for anyone who is alone, or has no
family to celebrate the day.
Time Commitment: 2nd
and 4th Tuesday of each month at 8 PM

St.
John of God Roller Hockey – For the past 30 years, this CYO
organization, with over 300 members, has taught good sportsmanship and
team play to today’s youth. Parents and children from across the island
are welcome to share in a renowned league that is known state-wide.
The league runs from October to April and is open to all children
ages 5-16. This league has
grown over the years due to the commitment by the coaches and league
officials to provide our children with a safe environment where they will
learn the importance of hard work, fair play and self-discipline.
